Breakfast tip: Baked oatmeal
Everyone loves oatmeal for a breakfast. Ok…I assume oatmeal gets boring when eating it over and over. For me it does. Similarly as with eggs being made in hundred different ways.
So let’s think about something… more complicated?
What if we bake it?
It’s super easy, yummy and adds just a bit more extravagance to your regular breakfast.
1 egg white
fruits of choice
half package curd cheese
sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, agave,..)
First of all, mix oats with some water and milk (I usually do half/half). Add cinnamon and cook it in the usual way (I do it in a microwave for 1-2 mins as it’s quicker). When cooked, add the egg white and put it into a bowl suitable for baking. Preheat the oven to 180° and bake it for 15-20 mins.
And wait…make your morning rituals, dance, jump, sing, whatever you wanna fill in the time with.
In the other meantime, make a yogurt out of your curd cheese. I just mix it with a bit of water. It is much higher in protein than yogurt.
Voilà! It smells so delicious!
Now it’s time to make it pretty. Add fruits of your choice, fresh or dried, nuts and a curd cheese. Splash it with your favourite sweetener. I also put a cocoa on the top. In the end, fill it with a bit of milk.
Tastes exactly how it looks like, delicious! Soo warm and filling!
